Clare Yard 1946
Photo posted to fb by Chad Fannin. Oroginial photo fb Ed Fannin.

Looking east out over Clare Yard March 31, 1946. In the foreground you can see several wheel sets and side frames. Notice the jib crane that was probably used to change them out and the line of older, damaged looking cars sitting next to it. Light car repairs and normal maintenance were done at Clare. In 1955 the average daily number of freight cars passing in and out of the yard was around 700. Cincinnati Railroad Club photo, Ed Fannin collection 8x10 reprint.
