I am very happy to welcome Eric Ruter to the Tailgaters Fantasy Football League. Eric becomes the 36th person to own a team in our humble fantasy football league. Of that roughly 9 billion people on planet earth today, only 0.000000004 percent have ever owned a team in this prestigious league. Another way of looking at it is Donald J Trump is the 45 person to serve as President of the United States (can you name the other person to serve two non-consecutive terms as president... hint, he did not pitch for the Philadelphia Phillies in the early 20th century).
Eric played two or three seasons in one of my GE leagues. Because there are no public records from those league, we will pretend that Eric was the greatest fantasy owner in all of GE Aerospace. Which just barely qualifies him for a spot in the Tailgaters Fantasy Football League.
Eric will join many of you in his love for the Cincinnati Bengals. Rumor has it he has a tattoo of Paul Brown on his left butt-cheek, and Mike Brown on his right butt-cheek. For the record, I took his word for it. Eric has indicated his plan of drafting Carson Palmer, Chad Ocho-Cinco and Corey Dillon with his first three picks.
Eric is also an avid golfer. For those of you who like to play on the west side more, Eric lives in Indiana. Get to know him... if I ever get back to playing golf on any regular basis, I might pull him him. Eric would be perfect for a round at Miami Whitewater if you are ever needing a fourth. He is my partner in the GE Golf League, and we shoot just about the same. You just wouldn't know it listening to us in the cart... Eric is always positive and optimistic, making you believe he is about three or four over par and having the round of his life. I sound like the whole world in crashing down around me and am surely 20 over par for nine holes.
Thank you Eric for joining our league. We expect you to adhere to our policy of new owners not winning anything major the first five years. If you look at our league history, you will see Jeff Brown is following that process to a T.
