To say I did a lousy job last year is an understatement. That isn’t a promise I’ll do better this year, just an acknowledgement of fact. One of the areas that suffered most was I didn’t track any rule change idea. Am trying to do better to start this year. But before I do rule changes, let me set the schedule of events.
2026 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
FRIDAY AUGUST 21 thru SUNDAY AUGUST 23 - Hall of Fame Weekend… maybe. May not do this.
SUNDAY AUGUST 30 5:00 PM End of Proposing Rule Changes
MONDAY AUGUST 31Start of Rule Change Voting
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6 - End of Rule Change Voting
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7 - 2026 TFFL DRAFT. This is Labor Day Night
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 9 - First game of NFL season. YES! It is on a Wednesday.
RULE CHANGE IDEAS
If you think something about this league is broken (besides the commish), this is your one chance each your to fix it. Send me your rule changes ideas before Sunday August 30 at 5:00 PM.
I am consider proposing an idea… not really a rule change. But I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up a league group chat to encourage communication between owners. Not sure if this is a great idea and how much use it would get… that is why I’m thinking of putting it on the voting block. Each owner would have the option of not being included… this is not an obligatory thing.
TEAM LOGOS
You guys know I’ve always been a bit of a logo geek. I couldn’t figure out last year why the league I was in at GE allowed me to update my logo, but the Tailgaters league did not. I ended up figuring out is a public verses private setting. So now you can upload your own logos and you are welcome to do so. Just go to your team home page and click on the logo. Follow the instructions on the web site from there.
And if you have a logo idea and would like help, I do enjoy doing that sort of thing.
