For the first time in more than a decade, since the Milford Marauders won their second championship in 2012, we have a repeat champion in the TFFL, “swiftly” ushering in a new “era” for our humble league. For the record, that pun was “taylor” made for this season.
I don’t really know how they do it. And I cannot believe I am going to have to add to the league archives that Baker Mayfield was Tailgater Bowl XXV MVP. I sometimes joking say how proud an NFL play must be of their TFFL accomplishment, but in this case, this may be the biggest accomplishment of Baker Mayfield’s professional career. But more concerning and worthy of a drug test and league investigation is the fact Scoregasms has won back to back championship with quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Baker Mayfield. That’s a trivia question no one is even asking, let along answering. I’ve diverted from the game. I’m still thawing from the New Year’s golf outing that saw two of our owners ditch. The essentially nullified each other in the Scoregasms 89-61 victory. Scoregasms did get 16 from Zay Flowers, who was on the receiving end of a big day from the Ravens. The Broncos defense added 12 and Brandon Aubrey kicked home 11 points. 61 is a disappointing performance for the Warriors, as they suffer their first championship game defeat after two victories. Outside of Browning, nobody else reached double digits, dooming the Warriors to defeat. Another league record, I assume, was set earlier today as Scoregasms was actually paid their $200 prize money for winning the championship before the article was sent. Pretty sure that has not happened before. And holding back $50 for next year, they are officially the first team paid for 2024. King could have had that honor for the second straight year if he showed up this morning. MONEY MATTERS I will get prize money paid out hopefully by the weekend.
