There are a lot of different strategies in fantasy football. Some tried and true. Others a little more risky. And I’m pretty sure what Momball did this weekend falls into the category of downright stupid.
When you play the league commish late in the season, and the league commish needs a win to stay in the playoff race, it is not wise to post the highest score of any team from two leagues. But that is exactly what Momball did in beating the Scammers 161 – 95. Saquan Barkley scored 42 to earn Player of the Week. Patrick Mahomes added 34 and the Texan defense scored 20.
The best game of the week saw Down the Drain lock up the Landry division with a 95.8-95.0 victory over Happy. Drain was able to lock up the division because the rest of the teams suck. Lamar Jackson pulled this game out for Down the Drain on Monday night with 26 points. Bucky Irvin added 21. Bucky. There is a dude in the NFL named Bucky. Let that sink in.
Another good game saw Bane beat the Titans Kingless Court 96-93. Bo Nix scored 23 and Jaylen Waddle had 20. Big win for Bane, as they stay in the thick of the playoff race at 5-7.
I called it! I CALLED IT! Kicken Chicken defeated the Beercats 119-64. Gotta be honest, not so sure the Beercats didn’t take a nap on this one just to make your humble commish look good. Maybe Momball should take some notes. Jayden Daniels led all scorers with 38. Wil Lutz added 22. Don’t feel too bad for the Beercats, they still have the best record in the league.
Transformation Worldwide is having a good year and are likely on the way to the playoffs after a 115-34 win over Error 404. Tua Tagovailoa had 34 and Josh Jacobs 28.
Car Ramrod keeps their hopes of a division title alive by beating Shakedown 96-74. Nobody scored twenty in this game. But Car Ramrod had six players score in double digits. That kind of balance makes them dangerous. They are a game back of the Beercats with two to go.

BRIDESMAID AGAIN
I feel like I just wrote this article. It seems like just a couple weeks ago where the Willow Run Flyers won the BMFFL TOW, but got outdone by an EWFFL team. I could be wrong. I could also look at past articles, but that’s a lot more effort than I want to invest.
The Willow Run Flyers best Rimski’s Raiders 139-106. Jaylen Daniels had 38. Courtland Sutton had 21 more. Both of these teams are 5-7 and literally sitting on the cutoff line for the playoffs.
The Falcons are still hot. They were lurking if the Flyers had not won TOW. Saquon Barkley was POW with 42 points. Bo Nix had 23. The Falcons are cruising. Best to get out of their way if you can.
There were no close games this week in the BMFFL. So I’ll give FooBall another shout out. They still have the best record in the league, all be it a tie. They beat Prestige Worldwide 112-90. CJ Stroud led all scorers with 23. And there is Bucky and his 21 again.
The Scammers kept pace with FooBall by beating Grande Fantasmas 95-79. The Scammers clinched their division with the win. Sam Darnold had 25 and the Texans defense 20. Its become a rough season for Fantasmas, who see their playoff hopes slipping away amidst a five game losing streak.
The Cincinnati Eagles are having a good season and already have a playoff spot locked up. They beat the Old England Patriots 106-81. Josh Jacobs was game MVP with 28. Keep an eye on the Eagles it the post season.
The Buckeyes remain alive with a 94-63 win over Sea Breaze. Baker Mayfield was the top player with 20. It is just enough to keep the Buckeyes in the race. We’ll see what they can do with that chance.

SURVIVOR
As good as their season has been, it did not get them to the end of Survivor. The Beercats have been eliminated.
This leaves two. The Gritz Blitz Falcons have been a great team all season. Kickin Chicken has had some struggles. But it is a level playing field this week. One team from each league. This time next week, one will be the 2024 Survivor Champion.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Man, this stinks. Week 13 is the last all division games week. The schedule is intentionally written this way with teams playing divisional games to maximize the change of having a critical matchup late enough in the season for it to still matter. If you play this game the last week, too many divisions are settled
So when I looked for a game of the week, I only found one first place verses second place matchup. And it involves a team that already clinched the division. Bah Humbug!
So I’m left looking for games with wildcard implications. Even those are a bit hard to find. But I settled on a game where I have a bit of a rooting interest.
The Baloony Boiz travel down to North Carolina to play Grande Fantasmas. The season looked so promising for Fantasmas. They were 4-3 at mid season. Playoffs looked very promising. But nothing has gone right since then. And this game poses their last chance to stay alive.
On the other side, the Baloony Boiz missed the playoffs in their first season in the league. They are on the cut line for the playoffs. The cannot lock themselves in this week, but they can create more paths to the playoffs next week with a win now. It’s a big game for both teams.
THANKSGIVING GAMES
Just a reminder, there are more Thursday and probably Friday games than usual this week. Just keep that in mind as you set your lineup.
