A 1-6 start makes the playoffs a longer shot than hunting with a short barrel gun. But there was one shining moment for the Ducks this week, as they topped all teams with a 140-103 win over the Great Dismal Swamp Monsters. Dak Prescott showed that old top tier quarterback form with 37.9 points to narrowly capture Player of the Week honors. Jalen Hurts was runner up for the award for the Swamp Monsters with 37.2. But with two other twenty point performers, the Ducks cruised to the victory. Hope is not lost on this season yet. The best game of the week may end up being the best game of the year. iGotBoom beat Lamar You Serious 86.4 – 86.1. I haven’t looked, but it is very likely this is the narrowest margin of victory so far this season. Not much happening as far as great individual performances as the top scorer was Austin Ekeler with 18. The Warriors are above .500 as they dropped the Flippin Birds to 1-7 in what has been a dismal season for the Birds. With Joe Burrow emerging to his expected form, the Warriors are a serious threat the rest of the season. Burrow led all scorers in the game with 33. Multiple Scoregasms won, but may have lost. The won their game against the Kentucky Moondogs. But lost quarterback Kirk Cousins. I don’t know how bad the injury is, but I’m under the impression it is not good. The Milford Marauders are back to 500 and now in first place in the Halas division. Josh Allen was game MVP in the 101-87 win over the Renegades. The Marauders are actually tied with the Moondogs in the division. Maybe if the play this week I’ll make that game of the week. And last, the Scammers won their sixth in a row, dropping the Destroyers 121-108. Tua Taqovailoa was the top performer for the Scammers, as he continues to impress as a fantasy quarterback. SURVIVOR There were three Survivor teams in the 80s this week, all at risk of being eliminated. But it is the Moondogs who were brought back down to earth. The Moondogs are out, and there are only for left. ALL 25 SEASON TEAM The end of October marks another cutdown point in the All 25 Season Team voting. I will drop the list down to 50 players. That means one half of the players left in the voting will make the All 25 Seasons Team. The voting will end the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 19. Maybe that Monday to include the Monday Night game. The team will be announced over the Holiday Weekend around Thanksgiving. So keep voting to make sure we get the correct 25 players on the team. GAME OF THE WEEK Game of the Week this week is easy. And no, it is not the Marauders and Moondogs as mentioned above. They don’t play each other. Look no further than the Paul Brown division for the best game this week. Week nine is another all division games week, so these are some crucial matchups. None bigger than iGot Boom at the Scammers. These teams are not only one and two in records, they are one and two in points scored, with Boom two points more than the Scammers. Boom has lingered just a game back of the Scammers, keeping pace with their division rival while the Scammers have rolled off six straight wins. Boom has Patrick Mahomes, which doesn’t seem quite fair. The Scammers will counter with Tua Tagovailoa.
