I mean you beat your rival by a league record 115 points, and that’s gotta have some lasting effect. I have no clue who won their first meeting. I just know it doesn’t matter. As a matter of fact, the 177.6 points scored by the Ducks is the second highest single game point total in league history, surpassing the Ducks 175.0 points in 2022. Oh, I forgot to mention the final score. Ducks 177, Marauders 62. Let me check and make sure all the Marauder player’s games have finished. Yep… all done. 62 is it. Oh and the 34 points by Dak Prescott. Well, that was Player of the Week material. Oh, and don’t feel too bad for the Marauders, they are still in first place in the Halas division. We only had one game in the less than ten point margin this week. And the Scammer’s season of good fortune continued with a 107-98 win over the Destroyers. The Scammers have won a bunch of close games this year. That will be hard to continue in the post season, but it was enough to get the Scammers a division title. That’s because the Renegades scratched and clawed their way to a win on Monday night. Trevor Lawrence scored enough points before being injured to earn the Renegades a come from behind victory over IGot Boom 117-102. The loss eliminated Boom from the Halas division race. The Great Dismal Swamp Monsters put their foot down, and took a little fight out of the Warriors in a 114-92 win this weekend. This give the Swamp Monsters a game lead in the Lombardi division heading into the final week. Jalen Hurts was game MVP with 25. Jamar Chase posted 20 on Monday Night to scalp the Warriors. Anther team fighting for their playoff lives is Multiple Scoregasms. Our defending champion picked up a crucial win over Lamar You Serious 96-57 in a victory that assure Scoregasms of a break even season. That should be enough to get them into the playoffs. The only game left is the Moondogs defeat of the Birds 121-92. Nico Collins had 25 and Joe Mixon had 23 for the Moondogs. The Moondogs are also 7-6 now, and likely OK for the playoffs. PLAYOFF PICTURE If the season ended today, here are the brackets. And let me say, we need to do something about these brackets. No way should the number one seed have to play the Ducks right now. Just not fair. In previous weeks, I do not make projections based on points. This week, I assume the most points a team can make up in a week is 100. Shut up Ducks, we know you just gained 115 on the Marauders alone. But that is the exception. So if there is a more than 100 point margin between teams, the I will assume the tiebreaker is already determined. 1. Scammers v 8. Oky Ducks 4. IGot Boom v 5. Warriors 2. Lead Scoregasms by more than 100 points and will win all tiebreakers with Scoregasms 3. MARAUDERS Have clinched wildcard spot Will clinch division with a win OR Moondogs loss Will win tiebreaker with Moondogs if they are not outscored by more than 65 points. 4. WARRIORS Will clinch wildcard spot with a win Will clinch division with win AND Swamp Monsters loss AND outscore Swamp Monsters by more than 45 Can earn wildcard spot with a loss AND win tiebreaker 6. The Moondogs and Warriors are in the unique position that they could win their division and they could get eliminated this weekend. That is quite the swing. Only the top four teams are locked in. Four of the next five will make it with only one being eliminated. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker points are as follows… TEAM POINTS MARGIN Ducks 1450.4 Huge Lead Warriors 1313.2 0 Moondogs 1266.4 46.8 Destroyers 1237.8 75.4 Scoregasms 1216.2 97.0 Scoregasms is most in need of a win. Well besides Dan’s Destroyers and Ducks. I haven’t looked yet, but with five teams still in contention, odds are at least two of them will play this weekend. SECOND CHANCE SURVIVOR Well we know the Ducks are safe. And the Swamp Monsters scored 114. That leaves Igot Boom with the fizzle. Boom is out. Second chance survivor will be between the Ducks and Monsters. GAME OF THE WEEK I skipped the graphic because I’m tired, its late and I need to get to bed. I didn’t get quite the wild card matchups I wanted. But we have a game to decide a division. That is perfect for week fourteen. But before I do, let me mention that every game but one has an impact on final standings and playoff seeds except one. The one exception is the Scammers versus Lamar You Serious. The Scammers have already locked up the one seed, and Serious has been eliminated. But every other game matters this weekend. The game that will decide a division is the Marauders versus the Moondogs. The Marauders have a huge advantage. They are a game up, which won’t matter since they are playing head to head. But the Marauders have a 65 point head start that the Moondogs have to overcome to steal the division. Now most of you would probably feel pretty secure in that. But the Marauders are coming off a 115 point beating. So forgive them if they don’t share your optimism. But the Marauders do have Josh Allen under center. He’s usually pretty good for some points. The Moondogs counter with Herbert. Good, but not as good.
